Prestigious free blog service Blogger introduced a new feature for bloggers. Google, Inc’s experimental free blog service Blogger in Draft included expandable post summaries feature for bloggers. Expandable post summaries feature is only available in Blogger in Draft presently and not available in Blogger service. Expandable post summaries feature is a popular and widely used feature which shows post summaries instead of full page article at home page of blog as shown in below screen shot.

Blog site visitors read remaining article by clicking on expandable post summary link, placed at bottom of each and every article at home page. Expandable post summaries feature is dream feature for Blogger blog users but now bloggers can show post summaries easily.
You will see a button which is called as “Insert jump break” in post editing area. Click on Insert Jump Break button after part of your article. You will see a break which is indicated by dotted link in your post editing box as shown in below screen shot.

Your Blogger blog site shows post summaries once you publish your latest article successfully. You can also change the expandable post summary link text (Read more >>) by editing your blog post widget at layout. You will see Read more >> text once you open Configure blog posts widget where you can give your own page link text like Read More! and etc.

Use expandable post summaries feature in your blog to bring special attraction and your blog visitors definately like expandable post summaries feature.

Feed Redirection of every Blogger blog creates errors in sitemap. Blogger integrated a feature for bloggers to redirect Blogger blogs RSS and ATOM feed to third party feed service with feed redirection. However most of the Blogger blog users use FeedBurner service to generate site feed. FeedBurner is now part of Google, Inc. Bloggers now can monetize FeedBurner feeds by displaying advertisements through Google AdSense for Feeds. So, feed redirection helps Blogger blog users to know subscribers details and to make money by monetizing feeds with advertisements.
However, feed redirection method creates errors in sitemap of Blogger blogs. Actually, Blogger blog users submit Rss and Atom feed as sitemap to webmaster services like Google Webmaster Tools, Yahoo! Site Explorer, bing Webmaster Center and etc. All these webmaster services reject Blogger blog Rss or Atom feed mainly due to feed redirection. In webmaster tools area, these three services show errors. Here is the reason.
Let us consider below Rss or Atom feed as your blog sitemap.
Rss Feed Url : http://www.techze.blogspot.com/rss.xml
Atom Feed Url: http://www.techze.blogspot.com/atom.xml
Now this Rss or Atom feed redirected to third party feed service
Third Party Feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/techze
Search engine spiders are confusing with this feed redirection and consider Blogger blog feed as invalid feed. Site traffic increment is must and should In order to increase the ad revenue of your blogger site. Feed redirection reduces the performance of blog in Google search engine due to errors. Similarly, Yahoo! and bing index error urls in search results. As per my personal experience, Feed redirection is not a recommendable but places a feedburner or third party feed button within your Blogger blog area.
