This program is one of the popular and best publisher programs. Google Inc decided to launch a new revenue sharing program for publishers in order to offer more website traffic to advertisers’ advertisements. Google Inc successfully launched this revenue sharing program as Google AdSense on 18th June 2003. This program initially accepted publishers’ applications but only few qualified publishers received permission to access AdSense features. However, Google now grants permission to almost all new publishers by considering considerable factors.

AdSense for Content:

AdSense for Content means informative Ads for informative articles. Google AdSense gives permission to display advertisers’ advertisements with the help of Java Script Ad Code for their registered members. Google AdWords collects Ads from Advertisers. Similarly, Publishers collect Ad Code from AdSense and paste Ad code in HTML/ Java script webpages. Spiders visit publishers’ websites and read websites’ articles. Later spiders search in AdWords for content related Advertisements and return to AdSense. Spiders instruct publisher’s Ad code to display content related Advertisements. Every publisher can display maximum 3 Ad units and 3 link units for every webpage.

AdSense for search:

AdSense for search means informative Ads for every search keyword. AdSense gives Ad code for publishers to display Google powered search engine. Publisher has to set search engine settings in order to display either publisher’s webpages or internet search results. Similarly, this search engine also displays advertisers’ advertisements for every search query. However, search engine may not display Advertisements every time due to lack of search query related advertisements. Every publisher can display maximum 2 search engines for every website.

AdSense for Feeds:

AdSense for Feeds means contextual ads for feed content. AdSense technology displays advertisements in RSS, ATOM and other format site feeds. Google launched AdSense for Feeds program on 17th May 2005 and accepted applications from publishers. However, Google grants permission for only few publishers. AdSense needed additional feed technology to launch public version program. Finally, Google acquired FeedBurner on 1st June 2007. FeedBurner officially announced AdSense for Feeds Program on 30th May 2008. Google welcomes interesting publishers to AdSense for Feeds program by accepting applications. However, Google successfully integrated AdSense for Feeds program in their publisher program on 15th May 2008. Now, existing publishers can monetize their site feeds with Ads without submitting signup form.

Referrals:

Referrals is an affiliate program. This type of method is completely different to all remaining sub-programs. Publishers receive commission on every sale or action. AdSense launched Referrals program with Google Products on 4th November 2005. Later, Google started an affiliate program as Referrals 2.0 on 20th March 2007. Referrals program attracts publishers and gave good results to advertisers and publishers within few months. Maximum 3 Referral Ad Units are allowable. However, AdSense officially intimated all AdSense publishers and closes Referrals program during last week of August 2008.

YouTube Video Units:

Google launched YouTube Video Ad Units concept to increase the advertisers’ ad popularity on 8th October 2007. As we already know, YouTube allows members to place their videos with Embedded HTML Code. Similarly, most of Internet users especially bloggers place YouTube Videos in their websites and blog sites. So, YouTube Video ad units concept definitely gives good results. Finally, Google successfully tested this latest Internet advertising method. Now, YouTube grants permissions to all publishers to place YouTube Ad units. YouTube Ad Units displays advertisers’ advertisements within YouTube Videos. Similarly, these advertisements are also change periodically. At this time, Google AdSense allows publishers to place 1 YouTube Ad unit for every webpage. Google tests YouTube Ad Units under BETA. However, this sub-program is available in most of popular countries.

AdSense for Mobile Content:

Mobile Internet browsing becomes very popular in our world. Google decided to use Mobile Internet browsing source to start new Internet advertising. Google launched mobile Internet advertising program as AdSense for Mobile Content on 17th September 2007. Similarly, AdSense developing team introduced Rich Media ads (Image Ads for Mobile Content) on 24th April 2008.

The above stated five programs are common and popular programs. Every publisher can easily earn money by monetizing websites in above stated methods. Similarly, AdSense also runs similar programs and most of people may not know these programs because publishers have to apply below programs separately.

  2. Google AdSense for Domains

AdSense API:

AdSense API is a revenue sharing program for web-hosting Companies and developers. Google launched AdSense API service on 31st May 2006. Developers can make money by offering free web-hosting or websites to Internet users. Internet users make money by participating in Google AdSense through Developers’ websites. AdSense API program shares Publishers’ revenue with developers. So, Publishers make money. Similarly, Developers also make money through this program but Developers’ websites must have at least 100,000 daily page views.

AdSense for Domains:

Google AdSense for Domains is best monetization method for Parked Domains. Publishers can now make money with their Parked Domains. Parked Domains display only advertisers’ advertisements without content. We may not see these websites in any Search Engine because Search Engines simply neglect these websites and simply excluded from search results. However, these websites generally appear when an Internet user types an Address at address bar wrongly. At this time, this program available in 25 popular International languages with maximum 3 years membership.
