Google moves Google Page Creator sites’ pages to Google Sites soon
Google Inc decided to close Google Page Creator service permanently. Actually, Google started Google Page Creator service to offer free website to every Google Account user. Initially, Google Page Creator offers 5 websites with 100MB fixed web space per each website. Later, Google reduced number of websites from 5 to 3 websites. Now, Google Page Creator is permanently closed soon. So, it is very bad news to Google Page Creator users because most of people already developed their websites at Google Page Creator than Blogger. However, Google develops alternate service instead of Google Page Creator. That service is popularly called Google Sites. Presently, Google Page Creator shows a warning to users to move their sites to another location. Otherwise, Google Page Creator sites will move to Google Sites service.
Google recommends below stated options for website owners to choose one of them.
Option 1 – Do nothing, and your pages will automatically be moved to Google Sites
- We’ll set up the new site and move your pages for you.
- Visits to your googlepages.com URL will redirect to your new site.
- Note that Google Sites does not support custom JavaScript or CSS in its pages.
Option 2 – Opt out of the move, and take your pages to a new location
- Download your site.
- Once you’ve moved your site to its new location, opt out of migration by setting up a redirect below.
Google Page Creator sites will be moved to Google Sites if Google Page Creator user does not take any action. By default option, Google Page Creator user agreed to move site to Google Sites. According to official statement, Google Page Creator service will be redirected to Google Sites. Similarly, website owners can not run JavaScript supportable scripts such as Google AdSense, AdBrite and etc ad codes. So, website owners may not make money with Google Sites. However, website owners have to move their website to another location by downloading data.
